Led by community and business leaders like Rabi Ryan Bauer, Marc Benioff of Salesforce and concert promoters LiveNation and Another Planet Entertainment, the benefit concert was quickly financed and organized within a few short weeks. The event has raised over $15 million dollars with more donations coming in.
Metallica, Dave Matthews, Rancid, Dead Company and Oakland, CA native G-Eazy put on stellar performances amongst a backdrop of raised lighters, shining cell phone lights and tens of thousands people singing along in support of BTBA.

The community response has been inspiring. Giants catcher Buster Posey gave an emotional speech thanking first responders who battled the North Bay fires and helped save countless lives. Tens of thousands of music fans poured into the stadium to watch the performances and support their friends, family, and neighbors who were impacted by the devastating fires. It’s an amazing thing to see how music can help people overcome tragedy and encourage unification thru perseverance.
