Emerging dark pop-rock band The Haunt stole the show at The Viper Room in Hollywood, CA.
Fronted by 16-year old lead vocalist Anastasia Grace and her 20-year old brother and lead guitarist Maxamillion, The Haunt took over The Viper Room on Sunset Blvd a couple of weeks ago.
Grace has the pop sensibility of Billie Eilish with the vocal prowess and stage presence of Janis Joplin. Her lyrics are poignant, dark yet hopeful, and reflect a mature position despite her age.
In another era, if an A&R would’ve walked into the room she / they may have been signed on the spot. The other bands were there to entertain their friends. The Haunt were there to take over the stage.
Their sound is unique yet familiar. They have a chance to carve out their own lane or morph into something commercial. They are in good hands with a talented team around them including Vanessa Spatz who is helping to open new doors. The band has toured with Palaye Royale in the U.S. and Europe and is in the process of working on a new album and setting up a tour. The Haunt is the right chorus, melody and Spotify playlist away from capturing the right attention and appealing to the masses.
